New party was a complete success, with each and everyone enjoying to the fullest. So, it was decided we would go to Imagica, coming Saturday. It was Friday morning and there was no news about the trip. I had to a certain extent prepared myself that the trip will be cancelled and will go ahead with the movie plan with my friend. Friday evening, we meet for dinner and its decided we are going next morning… Yipppeeee!!! Its been long time since I have been to an amusement park, and this is India's first theme park. I had lot of expectations. The last time I visited a theme park, that was in Florida. The Disneyland. My brain was bringing back those memories.
Next morning, all excited, we reach the park by 11 AM. I was able to see one huge roller coaster, which never seemed to stop. A huge pendulum. A smaller roller coaster. The palace from Aladdin series. There are school children everywhere. Probably from 3 schools. The ticket counters are crowded and we decide to go for the express passes to save time inside the park, by getting preference for each ride. And we were ready to ro n' roll.
We started with Mr. India. Being express pass holders, we were given first preference. We were guided to enter a room. After sometime, there was a cartoon movie of Mr. India and Ms. Hawa Hawai. For a moment, we thought this is a theme for the kids. As we were waiting for the movie to end, we were guided to another bigger hall, where there were cars. We had to take our seats and drive along with Mr. India to save Calendar and kids. It was a complete surprise. The 3D movie was made in such a way that we got an overview of all the rides at Imagica. It was as if we were riding with Mr. India in the movie. Total fun!
Next we went to Wrath of the Gods. There was this cave, which looked liked Luray caverns. There was an actor playing Dr. Chandra, an archeologist. He had discovered the cave. He narrated the story about how he found it, but was not able to open a door in the cave. And suddenly, he got indications on how to open the door. We went inside and there were 3 Gods, Water, Air & Fire. Each one showing the strength of their power. The Water God drenched us completely. It was funny as we did not expect this at all.
Next we went to Salim Garh. Just like some horror house. We sat in a car. My hubby says look to your left. as soon I see, there is this scary character in white beard, face painted in white paint. I screamed so loudly seeing him, provided free entertainment to everyone. The whole ride was very scary for me.
Next we went to watch a 3D movie which was screened in a dome. We were lying down on the floor to watch the movie. This was a new thing for me. I always thought of having my television on the ceiling, but the idea of it falling over me stopped from actually doing it. The movie was fun.
We were so hungry by then, that we decided to take a lunch break. Medu vada, pasta, potato wedges, thai combo, Chinese combo. We ate too much to even think of a roller coaster. So we thought we will go for a theme ride.
Next we went to Deep Space. As we entered, we saw pictures of space, planets. We were asked to keep our bags, glares, specs, hair clips aside as it will affect the electromagnetic field. We sat in the car, ready to go to space. This ride had a surprise element. It was a roller coaster. We all were shocked and were laughing at the end of the ride. Thankfully, our tummy did not wobble.
As our tummy, did not throw out the contents, we were ready to try all the huge rides.
Next we went to Gold Rush. It was a roller coaster. It started slowly and then dropped and dropped and dropped. Before we realized it ended. But, we were all ready to step into bigger rides.
Next we went to D2 Dare to Drop. This ride would take you to the top and drop you suddenly. This kept happening till we reached the maximum height. We could see the complete view of Imagica from the maximum height. The view was awesome. We were not ready for the fastest roller coaster in India.
Next we went to Nitro – the fastest roller coaster in India. It goes at the speed of 160 km/h. what I noticed was that the ride did not have a base like other roller coaster where u can place your legs. Here our legs would be in the air throughout. We sat in the second row. Slowly, we were taken to the maximum height and before we could realize, we had been dropped and we went round and round. At some point we were upside down. This was the best ride for me after Kraken in Sea World. We went for a second time, and this time we sat in the first row. Wowow, the view was mind blowing. When you actually see the tracks, there is a feeling or a fear of speed, heights. The fear just goes off, when you scream out.
Next we went to Scream Machine. The pendulum which I was talking about. We had to sit in a circle facing outwards. It started off slowly, and we went from one side to another. Slowly the pendulum started rotating as well. We reached a point, where we could only see the sky and nothing else. Clear blue sky. The idea of reaching the sky was achieved. It was a complete adrenaline rush.
Next we went to Alibaba. In this ride, we had to hit the target point through a ride using a laser gun. I was able to make 11,000 points. Yippee!!!
The trip was full of excitement. I screamed so much in all the rides, and have let go off the fear. Mission accomplished!!!
