In south Goa, we headed to a resort near Benaulim beach. On the way, we visited St. Francis Church. I could see the immortal body of St. Francis. I was so curious to know about Him, that I have googled about him, and asked my catholic friends about the stories. We reached our destination, around lunch time. And everyone was hungry enough to eat before settling in their rooms. We had booked a villa and two rooms. We were so hungry that we headed straight to the resort’s restaurant. The usual menu. Pompret, surmai, fish curry with rice. After lunch, we headed to our accommodation. Villa was smaller with 4 bedrooms and a kitchen where there were no amenities to cook. The bedrooms were given to couples with kids, so that they can doze off early at night. We had planned we will have tequila shot and had brought tequila and its glasses. We had 4 shots, some had 3 shots, while one of us had 5 shots. The whole session was so funny and memorable. Somehow, we had dinner and dozed off. Everyone was close to being drunk, so everyone was silent and dint want to lose the equilibrium. As we saw the effects on one person, she kept laughing after the 4th shot, and kept telling, I m not drunk. The person who had the 5th shot, went off to sleep without having dinner. Everything looked like a scene from some comedy movie. Next day, we had a hearty laugh over it. We got 4 scooters to roam around Goa. We went to Benaulim beach on the scooter. There were 12 of us, and we had 4 scooters. So, the scooters had to come back to pick up other people. We played volleyball for some time and then the boys went for swimming. We decided to go back to the villa. The couple with kids were dropped first and then we were picked up in the second round. On our way back, we decided to go to another beach. We saw Baskin Robbins, and stopped for ice-cream break. After finishing everyone’s ice-cream, we headed to another beach. We realized that petrol was very less, and we had to refill, before the scooter stopped working. Luckily, we got a petrol pump and petrol was filled. 100 Rs. ka 4 scooter me bhar do. 25 Rs. each. Using the google maps, we reached the beach. We had chicken shwarma, which got over within minutes. The veg people could not eat, as we had ordered 2 cakes in the afternoon, which would be ready by dinner. So after, roaming on the beach for a minute or two, we headed back. We had our last dinner of the trip, pompret, surmai, prawns curry and rice. After that, we pounced on the cakes. Wow, what a dinner! One of the couple with the kid left by late night flight. Other couple was leaving early morning. So, we thought of sleeping late, talking about the trip. By 2 AM, I had to doze off. After sometime, everyone went to sleep. The other kid slept so peacefully, probably for the first time in 1.5 years of life. He woke up directly in the morning without disturbing his parents. Even he was tired physically, but mentally everyone wanted to extend their trip for few more days. Next day, we girls went for a body massage at Taj. It was so relaxing and the calm surroundings de-stressed us. We checked out from the villa, and had lunch. After which we headed to the airport. And within hours we reached Mumbai. The trip ended with a coffee at Starbucks.
One of the best trips!!!
